SCENAR Therapy
SCENAR - stands for Self-Controlled-Energy-Neuro-Adaptive-Regulator and is a safe, non-invasive, pain-relieving, biofeedback device. Its aim is to "kick-start" the body's own healing system to promote homeostasis or balance within the body. SCENAR treats the route of the problem and not just the symptom.
In the UK, SCENAR is licensed by the British Standards Institute and carries a CE mark for pain relief. However, because of its nature of stimulating the nervous system, Russian experience is that SCENAR affects all the body systems including diseases of the digestive, cardio-vascular, respiratory, musculo-skeletal, urinary, reproductive and nervous systems.
How does it work?
SCENAR is directly placed onto the skin (you will feel tingling sensations) at which point it starts the activation/initiation of the body's self healing process by sending (electric like) impulses, similar to the nerve signals. These impulses travel through nerve fibres (specific type C fibres which make around 85% of the nerves in the body) to the brain, stimulating the production and release of the body's own natural chemicals and neuropeptides (endorphins) helping to regulate pain and treat the whole body.

SCENAR is recognised as being particularly beneficial in reducing pain, improving and accelerating the healing of wounds, increasing energy, improving the sense of well-being. Amongst others it treats:

30 - 60 minutes
£60 - £90
Each treatment lasts from 30-60 minutes and is tailored individually to person depending on the complaint.
The number of treatments may vary. Acute problems need fewer treatments and effects in the reduction of pain are often noticed in 3 - 4 sessions (in some cases even less). Chronic long term complaints may need more treatments due to the nature of the problem often involving general wear and tear and degeneration.

SCENAR can be used very effectively alone or in conjunction with other therapies. Ideal for back pain management when combined with Deep Tissue Massage.
